Types of applications

Form I-130: Petition for Alien Relative. This establishes the existence of a qualifying relationship. 


Form I-130A: Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary. Required if the beneficiary spouse resides outside the U.S.


Form I-485: Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Used if the beneficiary is in the U.S. and eligible to adjust status.


Form I-864: Affidavit of Support. Demonstrates that the sponsoring spouse can financially support the beneficiary.


Form I-693: Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. A medical exam conducted by a USCIS-approved physician.


Form I-765: Application for Employment Authorization (optional). Allows the beneficiary to work while the application is pending.


Form I-131: Application for Travel Document (optional). Permits international travel while the application is pending.
